Michael Pope headed to Senoia Motor Speedway with the hopes of finishing out his season on top.  He was able to do just that as he drove away with a seventh place finish from the 2007 GAS season finale.
Michael Pope Ends 2007 GAS Season with a Top-10 Finish
Another Solid Finish at Senoia Motor Speedway For Young Driver
While the Georgia Asphalt Series season may be over, Michael Pope’s racing season sure isn’t.  He will be back in action this weekend at South Alabama Speedway as part of the Alabama 200 racing weekend.

“It was a rough night out there,” said Pope.  “To get by somebody was really hard because every single person out there was trying to block. Even if you bumped them a few times they would still block you. There is not much you can do to try around them, especially if you don’t want to get a reputation for driving really dirty like that.”

But a top-10 finish was a solid ending for Pope and this season of the Georgia Asphalt Series.

“Comparing this season to last year it’s one hundred percent better,” added Pope.  “I owe it all to my mom and my dad, to Mr. Dewitt Paschal and Ms. Middy Paschal, Frankie Grill, Brack Maggard, my parent's business, Builder's Concrete Products and Southern Pan Services. With out all these guys we wouldn’t be racing every week. I also have to thank the Georgia Asphalt Series for giving us a great series to race with this year.”
