“I really owe this team a lot,” said Pope. “We struggled with this race car all weekend long. We were a little off from the time we unloaded to right up before qualifying. No one has any idea how much work the team does on the car each week to get it ready. I owe it all to them for keeping me in on the track every week.”
The New Senoia Speedway was a track that Pope had some experience and success on before, and when luck dealt him some cards that weren’t quite favorable, Pope was able to use that experience and know-how to get back to the front of the pack and bring home that top-10 finish.
“Around lap forty I though I had a flat because I went into turn three and the car skated up the track. I got freight trained and I had work our way back up to the front again.
This past weekend Michael Pope made his transition back into his Pro Late Model as he entered the latest ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour event at the New Senoia Speedway, located in Senoia, Georgia. His transition was a smooth one as he brought home yet another top-10, coming home sixth when all was said and done.
