“I am excited about this weekend,” added Pope. “Senoia is a great track. We finished second and third there last year, and I am ready to go back this year. I really think we will be able to step it up a spot or two and hopefully bring home the victory.”
“Our car started off great this weekend,” said Pope. We were really good during practice, our car was driving really good. But in qualifying, there was a mishap, and our time didn’t read right and we ended up started 15th.
“The car was loose above the corner throughout the whole race, and we weren’t able to fix it. We were able to miss some wrecks and try and stay out of trouble, but then bad luck found us anyways when the clutch went out.
Despite last weekend not going the way that he wanted, Pope has plenty to look forward to this weekend as he and his team get ready for their return to the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour and Senoia Speedway.
